FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: PART 9
What if everything we thought we knew about meekness was wrong? For many of us, the word conjures images of passivity, timidity, or simply being a doormat for others to walk on. But this message turns that assumption completely on its head. At its core, meekness is not weakness -- it is strength under control. It is every ounce of our power, our will, our intellect, and our emotion fully surrendered to the lordship of God. The fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians 5:22-23 is not about becoming less of who we are, but about allowing God to channel who we are into something far greater than we could accomplish on our own. We explore the lives of Moses, Jesus, and Billy Graham as living examples of this truth -- men of extraordinary strength and influence who chose to place that strength under divine authority. The result was not diminishment but multiplication. Their meekness became the very engine of their impact. If we have ever felt like our gifts, our drive, or our passion were too much to contain, this message speaks directly to that tension and invites us into a better way of living.
